The DEPLOY® TRAUMA KIT

The DEPLOY® TRAUMA KIT – One-Hand, One-Action, to access lifesaving equipment – When seconds count!

We’re really excited to share something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while now—and it’s ready for launch! If you’ve followed MediArb Ltd for any time, you’ll know how passionate we are about making tree work safer and better equipped, especially when it comes to first aid. So, we’re buzzing to finally be able to announce:

The DEPLOY® Trauma Kit is here—and MediArb Ltd is the official UK distributor!

The DEPLOY Trauma Kit is a one hand accessible trauma kit that can be stored in an out of the way location. That is immediately accessible with one hand in an emergency.

It has been built from the ground up with arborists in mind, and we’ve had the absolute privilege of being involved in the process from early on. It’s been designed by our good friend Dan Dass over at Reecoil, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of bringing this brilliant bit of kit to life.

So, What Is the DEPLOY® Trauma Kit?

In simple terms, the DEPLOY Trauma Kit is a fast access trauma kit that you can wear on your harness, forestry belt, or hydration pack. But it’s not just any trauma kit. As well as fast access, it is compact, rugged, and purpose-built for arborists. It attaches neatly to your harness, forestry belt or Audax hydration pack. So, it’s there when you need it, and out of the way when you don’t.

We’ve all been there—up a tree, or out in the woods, a good 10-minute scramble from the truck. When things go wrong in this job, they can go very wrong, very fast. Whether it’s a chainsaw mishap or a nasty fall, response time is everything. That’s why this Kit isn’t just handy—it could literally save your life.

The Man Behind the Kit: Dan Dass

Dan from Reecoil is the brains behind the DEPLOY Trauma Kit. He’s spent years fine-tuning this design and testing it with arborists to make sure it solves the problem of fast access to the correct medical equipment, and functions correctly for our hard industry.

If you don’t know Dan, he’s an arborist himself, and someone who really knows the job inside and out. That background made a huge difference in the design process—because this Trauma Kit isn’t built from theory, it’s built from real-world experience.

A few words from Dan, The DEPLOY® TRAUMA KIT

“The DEPLOY® Trauma Kit came about because a good friend of mine was working about 20m up a tree on the end of an extended branch, when he hit himself in the left arm with his chainsaw.

He was in a hard to reach location with an injured left arm. He couldn’t easily get down, and rescuers couldn’t quickly or easily get to him.

Because of his accident I knew that people needed to carry:

  • Equipment to treat a massive bleed
  • That you can access FAST with just one hand (if the other arm is injured)
  • That is lanyarded to you, so it won’t fall to the floor in the heat of the moment
  • But it still needs to be compact and out of the way for everyday work

That’s why the DEPLOY Trauma Kit was born.

One-Hand, One-Action, to access lifesaving equipment!

We’ve been lucky enough to work with him throughout the process, giving feedback and bouncing around ideas. The end result? A trauma kit that’s fast access, compact, and filled with the best equipment to treat a massive bleed.

Why We Care So Much About This

At MediArb, this isn’t just another product. It’s personal.

I (Dan from MediArb) spent 11 years serving in the British Army and several more in other high-risk industries before becoming an arborist and let me tell you—I’ve seen first-hand how critical it is to have the right kit when things go sideways. In the army, we’re taught to carry our med gear on us at all times, because if you don’t have it on you, it might as well not exist. That mindset stuck with me when I moved into tree work.

We’ve seen too many cases in arb work where the first aid kit’s left in the truck or buried in a backpack. When time matters, it’s just not good enough. That’s why we’re so passionate about wearable trauma kits—and why we’ve thrown our full support behind the Deploy Kit.

What’s Inside?

So what do you get when you buy a Deploy Kit?

We’ve packed it with the essentials—stuff that could keep you (or a teammate) alive until help arrives. The core kit includes:

  • CAT Gen 7 Tourniquet – Trusted by military and emergency services worldwide. Easy to apply one-handed if needed.
  • Israeli Trauma Dressing – A versatile bandage that combines dressing and pressure bandage in one.
  • Celox Rapid Haemostatic Gauze – To control severe bleeding fast. Proven to work even in challenging conditions.
  • Nitrile Gloves – Because protecting yourself is just as important.

Everything is laid out in a way that’s logical, secure, and quick to access—even with gloves on.

Designed for the Real World

One of the things we love about the DEPLOY is how it fits seamlessly into daily arb life and other high-risk environments. It’s been designed to attach easily to climbing harnesses, work belts, or even a backpack. It doesn’t get in the way, it doesn’t snag, and it won’t weigh you down.

It’s also built like a tank. The materials are tough, weather-resistant, and stitched to hold up under pressure. You don’t want to be worrying about whether your Kit is going to fall apart when you need it most—and with the Deploy, you won’t have to.

The Journey to Launch

We’ve been working with Dan on this for years now. From early sketches to prototypes, and now into the final production run—it’s been a proper collaboration. Seeing this idea evolve into a product we can stand behind 100% has been one of the most rewarding parts of our work this year.

We’ve had arborists testing it, giving feedback, and using it in real job-site conditions. And the feedback so far? Overwhelmingly positive. Everyone who’s used it has said the same thing: it just makes sense.

When and Where Can You Get One?

Right now, the DEPLOY Trauma Kit is available for order on our MediArb shop page.

Who’s It For?

If you’re working in tree surgery, forestry, or rope access, this Kit is made for you. Whether you’re a climber or a groundie, having the Deploy on your harness could give you—or your teammate—the fighting chance they need in an emergency.

Even if you’re a team leader or site manager, equipping your crew with wearable med kits shows you’re serious about safety. We honestly believe every team should have a Med Kit or two on site.

More Than Just a Product—A Shift in Mindset

For us, the DEPLOY Trauma Kit represents more than just a new bit of gear. It’s a mindset shift.

We’re trying to change how the industry thinks about first aid—not as something that lives in a box at the bottom of your truck, but as a core part of your daily kit. Like your helmet, your harness, or your saw, a trauma kit should be something you carry without a second thought.

That’s the future we want to help build—and the DEPLOY Trauma Kit is a big step in that direction.

Final Thoughts

We’re proud to have been part of this project, and we’re buzzing to get the DEPLOY Trauma Kit out into the UK. It’s built for arborists, by arborists.

Massive thanks to Dan Dass at Reecoil for his vision and craftsmanship. We’re stoked to be the UK distributor and can’t wait to see these Kits out in the field, helping save lives and giving peace of mind to climbers everywhere.

If you’ve got questions, want to know more, or just want to chat trauma kits—drop us a line. We’re always here to help.

Cheers,

The MediArb & Reecoil Team
