DANIEL BALL

Danny is the founder and director of MediArb, bringing a wealth of experience in First Aid, Health & Safety and the Arboricultural industry.

Danny is the founder and director of MediArb Ltd. Before becoming an instructor for the Arboricultural Industry, Danny served 11 years in HM Armed Forces and completed tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq as a section commander/Team Medic. On joining civilian life, he worked in the Armed security industry protecting merchant vessels in high-risk areas.

Prior to becoming an instructor, Danny served 11 years in HM Armed Forces, completing tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq as a Section Commander and Team Medic where his passion for life-saving skills began. After leaving the military, he worked in armed maritime security, protecting merchant vessels in high-risk areas.

In 2013, Danny retrained as an Arborist, working his way through the ranks from Lead Climber to Arboricultural Manager and Contracts Manager. His hands-on experience in the industry gave him a deep understanding of how critical safety and first aid training is to the people working on the front line.

In 2017, Danny followed his passion for making the industry a safer place by becoming an instructor – delivering courses tailored to the unique risks of working at height and remote environments. This drive to improve safety standards led to the creation of MediArb in early 2020, where Danny has since expanded his services, qualifying as a City & Guilds NPTC Assessor and LOLER Examiner.

Danny’s mission is to inspire confidence through education, breaking down the fear of stepping forward in an emergency. His belief is that doing something is always better than doing nothing because it’s not just about ticking boxes, it’s about giving people the skills to save lives.

When he’s not teaching, Danny enjoys going to the gym, being out in nature exploring and spending time with his family.

In 2013 he retrained as an Arborist, building his experience within the industry covering a variety of roles from Arboriculture Manager to lead climber and contracts manager all of which have given him extensive background knowledge into the importance of safety and first aid for the teams.
